FreeBird is a fresh and innovative production company that in 2021 decided to embark upon the difficult journey of creating out-of-the-box and exceptional content. Currently involved in commercials, digital media, dramas, and short films, FreeBird also aims to step into the theatre play and feature films unit. Mr. Kaleem Kazmi, the founder, and CEO of FreeBird, along with his founding team members has taken on the responsibility of creating unique content such as a series of short films based on the most difficult truths of our society. What is dear and special about the stories and these short films is that they are based on topics that might be limited to the news, but the mainstream entertainment channels are unable to support them.
The most difficult aspect of filming such stories is the subject and characters they are based on, which unfortunately many of our great artists are reluctant to perform in and as. However some amazing, talented artists took this huge artistic risk with us, and needless to say, we were all very pleased by the outcomes.
FreeBird is not only thankful but proud of these powerhouses who stood by us when we dared to speak the harsh truth through our medium. Understanding the power of social media, FreeBird initially has chosen for these stories to be released on the digital platform. It is a well-known fact that our neighboring countries are has making a name for themselves all over the world through their very blunt and unfiltered web series. Many creative individuals from Pakistan either have tried or desire to do the same, but the current economic recession prevents them from stepping up.
In such a scenario, it has become necessary for some risk-takers to enter the field and make a path for others to enter.
