Celebrity fitness trainer Sehr Beg shared some secrets to stay fit and healthy!
Why did you become a personal trainer?
I was always into health & fitness since my teens. I have always been sporty and used to participate a lot in outdoor activities. Other than that I was very much into clean eating and avoided eating anything processed. But it was around in 2015 that I took fitness as a profession and have been training since then. My own transformation has inspired me to become a trainer and I wanted to share what I had learned on my journey with the world.
What are your personal fitness goals?
My personal fitness goal is that I finish my marathon within 4 and a half hours.
What is your personal training philosophy?
There is no limit or barrier to fitness, no matter what age bracket you are in… you can always start without looking back
What certifications do you hold?
I’ve done my Computer Engineering followed by MBA from NUST, Islamabad. Other than that, I’m a certified runner and have hands-on training experience with one of the leading brands of Pakistan.
How do you stay informed on the latest updates to the field?
Constant Research is the only way
Which is more important to you: physical fitness or nutrition?
It’s a combination. You can’t have one without the other. I believe in balanced eating/ I don’t believe in fad diets. This is why, my clients’ regimen should include good carbs, good fats, protein, and lots of greens plus a lot of water. Also, it is super important to hydrate always.
Explain how you handled an unhappy client in the past.
I don’t consider a client unhappy as a first rule. So, any feedback is welcomed and responded to with positivity.
Do you recommend nutrition supplements? Why or why not?
The daily dose of multi-vitamins is a must considering our eating habits. However, if you are fulfilling those daily requirements of micro and macronutrients by eating clean, you need not have any dietary or nutrition supplements.
How do you keep clients motivated?
Keeping clients motivated is important because it benefits their overall well-being in the long term. Internal motivation is everything. Once you have that down, you can take on the world. Besides that, you have to remember that you’re worth every little drop of effort you put into yourself. Do things that nourish your mind, body, and soul and you will reap the rewards for years to come.
