WHAT PSL Brings forth

Pakistan Super League has made a name for itself in a relatively short span, attracting big names from across the globe. From world-class cricketers to renowned commentators and presenters, PSL has provided the fans with top-notch entertainment ever since its inauguration in 2016.

With the hype reaching height this year, the PSL craze has gripped the entire country. HBL PSL, the first franchise sports model of its kind in the Pakistani market, has made a remarkably strong impression in the hearts and minds of the nation. From unique logos to uniform designs, each has its own character and style.

Fashion Collection looks beyond the obvious for the cricket fans.

Although Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi did pick out team names representing sentiments from the cultural context, it depends on themes the teams choose to identify themselves with. It’s not important for them to be geographically or culturally relevant.

Using ‘Zalmi”, a Pashto term, is commendable in the city’s team title. Likewise, Conceptually combining wickets into the turban was sheer poetry.

Karachi King’s logo comes across as clean, minimalistic and compact with a highly prominent team title.Using the color royal blue and gold in the logo gives it a feel of royalty while the roaring lion shows force.

In the case of Islamabad United, it seems appropriate that the team title and tagline are in English. The logo is very rich in detail.Using yellow and orange gives a lot of energy to the logo, but the team title is lost in the loud colors.

Multan Sultan’s logo reflects a “Sultan” riding a horse with a cricket bat in hand and showcases the cricketing passion of the people hailing from South Punjab.

The bold color combination in the Quetta gladiators is very strong with a compact logo design. Gives a clear feel for cricket.

What Shane Watson has to say about PSL.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the extremely competitive cricket that the PSL has to offer. Pakistan has incredible young cricketing talent and these youngsters have an opportunity to learn from some of the best cricketers in the world during the PSL.
