When it comes to burning calories in summers, we all get enthusiastic & excited and in excitement, we tend to make some harmful mistakes which lead us to dangerous health risks. It is always important to have a solid checklist in order to be safe and healthy.
1- Don’t drink until you are thirsty again;
It is one of the common mistakes we all do, exercising in summer means our body is consuming the water to regulate our temperature. When we are low on fluids, fatigue sets in and we can’t perform well. Always have a water bottle with you and drink a glass or two before heading to the gym.
2- Skimping on sunscreen;
If you are heading outdoors, then applying sunscreen is a must. Even if it’s partly cloudy, the sun can hit your skin so hard.
3- Not Checking the clock;
When it comes to training, it is always better to train in cool hours. The temperature in summers rises from 10 am till 3 pm – avoid exercising during these hours.
4- Improper Clothes;
Another important thing to consider is to wear gym-friendly clothes while exercising. Improper clothes can disturb your workout routine and can make you cranky.
5- Proper healthy meals / Drinks;
Summers can drain out your energy as you sweat more. And to energize yourself you need proper healthy meals and drinks – more than water. Coconut water is a good substitute!
6- Overdoing it;
Sure, you want to flaunt the summer body as soon as possible, but overdoing the exercise can harm your immune system. Exercising in summers can make it easy to brush off that sluggish feeling, but being tired is something that you can’t ignore.
