Atif Aslam recently took the internet by storm with his soulful recitation of Azaan amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Atif Aslam became the top hashtag trend on Twitter shortly after he released the beautiful rendition of the Islamic call to prayer, with fans showering praises on the singer.
The call to prayer has been delivered beautifully by the singer who has previously recited hamds and naats such as Taj dar-e-haram and Wohi Khuda Hai.
Many fans have been mesmerized by Aslam’s recitation of the azaan and thanked him for an amazing gift.
Twitter seemed to share his sentiments. Shortly after Atif posted his Azaan rendition, many took to the social media platform to pen their emotions.
“Atif Aslam gives Azaan with his beautiful voice, makes me cry. It’s really heart-touching,” one Twitter user said. “Got goosebumps after listening to Azaan in Atif Aslam’s voice,” another wrote.
A year back, Atif Aslam’s “Wohi Khuda Hai” penned by Muzaffar Warsi, reflected the praise of Allah and fans couldn’t help praising this rendition too. The song indeed is about the connection with the divine and was made famous earlier by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Alif Aslam had dedicated this beautiful rendition of hamd to his five year old son.
Talking about his life journey, Atif Aslam says, “I still don’t think I have made it. When I started, for the first few years, I used to think, with fame and money. I’d made it.”
But after that I ask myself, “What have you made? This is all material that you have.” After that, the real search started. That is when the fun started. Even today, I am caught in that search. I will keep at it always.”
